50,000 of our closest LGBTIQ+ community and allies join us on Gertrude for Victoria’s largest block party. Held annually since 2022 at the end of Summer.

Gertrude Street Projection Festival

The Gertrude Street Projection Festival has been illuminating wintery nights on Gertrude Street for 15+ years. Our street comes alive at night over the festival bringing art and expression into our neighbourhood and inviting people in to explore our community and support our small, mostly independent businesses.

Smith Street Dreaming

Smith Street Dreaming (held on Gertrude) celebrates the footprints of Koorie history in Collingwood and Fitzroy, featuring some of the best established and emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander musicians and artists.

Yalinguth

Yalinguth is a journey through an immersive audio experience you can do all year to learn about Aboriginal history of Gertrude Street.
